MAGNIFICENT RUFFIANS -EXTRA CREDIT

this record is so real. MAGNIFICENT RUFFIANS extra credit lp seemlessly blends movie samples (american pie, old school, school of rock, fast times..) to relevant concscious-state-of-the-world bars. Owbese on the Beats

Beatroot History Lesson w/ Kavet The Catalyst

We're Back! Rustic music has a new lab to broadcast from so let's go cus we have ALOT to catch up on. this interview is rather old, But Kavet's history is sooo close to my own experience goin from djing to production, literally down to equipment and BEATROOT and tampa's DRUMLOVE have a simiar history as well. The production scene here has matured alot and ppl recognize beatmakers more now, theres a market for artists to get beats from and cats around the city drop beat tapes regularly, all we need is regular showcase and battles, so holla and enjoy the interview. Drumlove Shouts to the SPOT/Transitions for letting us do DRUMLOVE there, found an old pic

Fela BeatTape KenoSobi X Ranmecca

i really dig themed beat tapes. a few months ago Black Star did a show down here in tampa the after party was at the infamous Old Dirty Sundays where in Talib kweli did an exellent dj set for 300+ party ppl. he played some Fela for about thirty minutes and the whole vibe of the party changed-ppl went from head nodding to dancing and thats rare for a hip hop crowd (yall know). kenosobi and i were there and were already talking about doing a project together- we were like yea a Fela tape! you can get it here or on the Gwan Massive bandcamp
